Ms. Sater is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department and concentrates her practice in divorce and family law.
Ms. Sater received her B.A. in Political Science in 1982 and her J.D. from Wayne State University in 1985. She served as Research Attorney to the Honorable Norman L. Lippitt, Sixth Judicial Circuit, Oakland County, Michigan, 1986-1988.
Ms. Sater is a member of Detroit and Oakland County (Member, Family Law Committee) Bar Associations; and State Bar of Michigan (Member, Family Law Section). Between 1999 and 2002, she was elected by her peers to sit on the State Bar of Michigan (Family Law Section) as a council member; the Michigan Family Council section represents the interests of 3000 lawyers in connection with various family law related interests. She serves on the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Family Law Advisory Board, which consists of fifteen prominent attorneys, well versed in various topics of family law, throughout the State of Michigan. At the request of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, she contributed to revision and update of the Child Custody Chapter of "Michigan Family Law," (Sixth Edition) a publication widely used as a reference by judges, referees and lawyers in connection with famly law issues. She serves on the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Family Law Advisory Board, a board which consists of fifteen prominent family law attorneys throughout the State of Michigan. In addition thereto, she has served as a guest lecturer for various organizations on a variety of topics related to divorce and family law issues.
