Mr. Newman is a shareholder in the firm's Litigation Department. He concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, land use, employment and attorney malpractice. Mr. Newman has obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients.
Mr. Newman represents regional and national real estate developers in connection with rezoning matters, for whom he has obtained rezonings for uses ranging from large residential communities and manufactured housing communities to billboards and truck stops.
In employment cases, Mr. Newman has obtained large jury verdicts against major corporations and has succeeded in obtaining no cause of action verdicts in cases with substantial potential liability.
Mr. Newman received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and received his undergraduate degree in labor studies from Wayne State University with highest distinction and was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Newman is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Business Law and Real Property Sections) and the Oakland County Bar Association.
